The KATON® FKM Type 2 NORSOK M710 anti-explosion pressure-reducing 90 Duro series is a high-pressure O-ring made from chemically resistant fluorocarbon (FKM). These O-rings feature excellent resistance to chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, low compression set, low permeability, and outstanding aging characteristics. They are particularly effective against ozone, high temperatures, oxygen, mineral oils, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, aromatics, and many organic solvents and chemicals.

Applications include:
- Hydraulic oils
- Petroleum-based oils
- Silicone oils and greases
- Mineral oils and vegetable oils and greases
- Aliphatic hydrocarbons (fuels, butane, propane, natural gas)
- Aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene)
- Chlorinated hydrocarbons (trichloroethylene and carbon tetrachloride)
- Chlorinated water
- Gasoline
- Fuels
- Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)
- Natural gas
- Propane
- Diesel
- High vacuum
- Ozone
- Weather conditions

As the energy, petroleum, and natural gas markets demand deeper exploration, there is an increasing need for high-pressure and high-temperature sealing materials. The KATON® FKM FK1 industrial engineering heavy machinery 90 Duro series is designed to meet and exceed these stringent requirements.

KATON FKM FK1: Refers to a specific type of fluorocarbon rubber (FKM), often used in O-rings for its excellent resistance to heat, chemicals, and oils.

NORSOK M710: This is a standard set by the Norwegian petroleum industry for the qualification of non-metallic sealing materials and manufacturers. It ensures that the materials can withstand aggressive environments typically found in the oil and gas industry.

Anti-explosion pressure-reducing: Indicates that the O-ring series is designed to prevent explosions and manage pressure effectively, ensuring safety and reliability in high-pressure applications.

90 Duro: Refers to the hardness of the O-ring material, measured on the Shore A scale. A 90 Duro rating means the material is relatively hard, providing better resistance to extrusion and wear in high-pressure applications.

KATON FKM TYPE 2 NORSOK M710 Anti-Explosion Pressure-Reducing 90 Duro O-ring

  • This series of O-rings is made from a specific type of fluorocarbon rubber that meets stringent NORSOK M710 standards for use in harsh environments. They are designed to reduce the risk of explosions and handle high pressure, with a hardness rating of 90 Duro for enhanced durability.

  • Fluorine content: ±3% (tested in non-filled material state)
